About
I have a Master in Fine Arts from the Academy of Arts in Tromsø, Norway with an exchange semester at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, Italy. I come from a background in film and television, directing short documentaries and writing tv series. I work figuratively and expressionistic out of different materials in painting and sculpture. I play with the recognizable to find the borderline in between, that has the potential to open up the imagination that goes beyond direct representation. The context is often the collective and the role of the individual in such social structures, like my wolf series. In that same sense I like to work with fragmentation in my artistic expression, pieces that don’t really fit together, that is broken, fragile and human.
